Dawida's donation to Luke
A few weeks ago, when Dawida was pondering a run for the mayor's seat (before he realized that he didn't have close to the amount of support he'd need to win), he didn't hesitate attacking Mayor Ravenstahl. In an apparent reference to Ravenstahl's youth, Dawida said that "we need a grown up" in the mayor's office.
I find it interesting then that three years ago, Dawida's campaign committee, People for Michael Dawida, gave a donation to the campaign of Luke Ravenstahl.
Dawida will do or say anything that will benefit himself for that moment. And when he senses an opportunity, he'd do or say something else to benefit again. Over the years, we've had our share of elected officials like that. I can't fathom why Dawida cannot understand that he's had his chances and he blew them. He's not a very honorable man. He's been rejected at the polls and it's time for him to move on.

Call me crazy--but supporting someone's run for city council is NOT the same thing as saying they are grown up enough to run the entire city. I'm just saying.
That's true enough. But it still speaks volumes about Dawida's loyalty and honor -- qualities that he evidently lacks. Afterall, there was no need to ridicule the Mayor as he did. If he doesn't support Luke's candidacy, so be it. But were his ridiculing comments really necessary? In the end, though, it really doesn't matter who Dawida decides to 'support' -- what benefit would the recipient receive by having Dawida's blessing anyway? Last time I checked, Dawida had problems winning his own elections. He carries no clout.
That donation was in 2004...many years ago in the polical world.
I agree what your comments on Mike Dawida across the board though.
This guy is bad news and hopefully after he loses this race he will never show his face around here anymore.
Me too. I was hoping we wouldn't have heard from Dawida after his trying to take advantage of the public's trust yet once again when he ran for judge. It really is sad that he doesn't get the message.
